Damien Hirst I liked you but, now I think your are a big Baby!
I don’t know too much about art but I know what I like and to me that is what is important. There are instances though where I become fickle and decide I don’t like something any longer based on an experience that I have as I imagine is the case with most of us. I’m old enough to understand the copyright infringement is bad but, I am also old enough to know when people are being idiots. Artist Damien Hirst, probably most known for his diamond encrusted skull art has decided to sue the pants off of a kid for swiping a box of rare pencils from a formerly public displayed installation titled “the pharmacy” (doesn’t look too artistic to me in the first place). So this kid takes a box of pencils from Mr. Hirst’s exhibit and gets thrown in cuffs and sued. Read the story Here. Every heard of Banksy? This guy is a true visionary in my opinion. His work consists of skill, taboo, is evocative and by many considered illegal. My point? Banksy is anonymous, he has no public identity and his works have been painted over, completely destroyed (as you can read about here and here) yet nobody but fans of his work complain. My rant ends with this… Mr. Hirst you are good, that I will give you but get over yourself, unbunch your panties, endure, and suffer for your art.
That is all for now
